So for the past week or so after reading the recent spoilers, I've had many shower thoughts and alone time to sort my thoughts on this. Tbh I've been cooking these ideas for a while now in various ways. I've made many theories in the past (and all of them turned out to be wrong RIP). But with the recent information, I'm thinking that Oda is more or less telling us this story. I'd like to preface, if you haven't read the spoilers for 1150, this theory may not make much sense to you. I won't go into detail what's in those spoilers, but they do contribute to the general thought process behind what I think ultimately happened not only in the Void Century, but in the First World as well.
I'd also like to state I think - despite the theory community doubling down - that the big twist to a lot of this lore we're getting is that there is no deities involved here. One Piece has made a point in it's story to kind of make a point that there's no such thing as "gods," just people that call themselves gods or call other people gods. I think the "Earth God, Forest God, Sea God, and Sun God" are metaphors to major events happening. Like people believe that these deities exist but they weren't *actual* gods persay, they were something else potentially though...let's begin.
